I honestly never thought it would come to this. When Kyle and I first came up with the notion of starting a record label, I never once thought it would be something that would actually happen. I then emailed Mathias and said 'hey, we're thinking about doing this thing', expecting him to write back a warning, put a pox on me and my family, or some other brand of curse. Instead he said 'perfect, I have a record I'd like to put out'. It's what I call the 'Oh, shit' moment. When I realized it was something we could actually do. It was only a matter of days until Mathias became the third member of Headless Owl Records. We had Corey Isenor design for us an awesome logo, we made some T shirts and whatnot, and all was right in the world. It wasn't enough. It turns out, people expect record labels to actually put out records.
With that, we are beyond pleased to announce the upcoming release of Old, New, Borrowed, Blue, a new EP by The Burning Hell. Pressed on 10” blue marble vinyl and limited to a hand-numbered run of 250, Old, New, Borrowed, Blue was recorded in Berlin in the summer of 2012 and features two new songs, a very special cover song, and brand new recordings of two of the most frequently requested Burning Hell tracks, Dance Dance Dance and I Love The Things That People Make.
The EP will be released on February 20, 2013, and a release party is scheduled for that evening at the Old Firehall in Whitehorse, Yukon, featuring The Burning Hell, Kyle Cashen and more. In the meantime, pre-orders are now available at the Headless Owl Store! See the link that says 'Shoppe'? Hit that!
That ain't all. We've also got an exclusive preview for you of one of the new tracks, give it a listen below!
